Works

Sola Fide, the Latin phrase "faith alone" was the battle cry of the Reformation. At the center of the discussion was the great Biblical doctrine of justification, which asks the question, "How can we be made right with God?" The issue discussed in this incredible moment of church history is the role of our works in the process of our salvation. And at the heart of the discussion was Paul clearly telling us we are justified apart from our works, while James states that we are justified by our works. But, the apparent contradiction will lead us to realize that we are saved by faith alone, but not by faith that is alone.
