Following CDC recommendations and the St. Louis County stay-at-home order, all in-person church services and gatherings are canceled through at least April 23rd, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As best we can, we are moving everything online. Read the latest update from Pastor Mike.
At Genesis Church, we have many different people. From toddlers to those who, well, let's just say they have many more years behind them than the toddlers. We come from diverse religious backgrounds, and have differing political views, but there are a few things we, at Genesis, all agree on.
The core values of Genesis are what we feel defines us a church. They're like our reading glasses. As some of the "old timers" at Genesis know, as your eyes age and tire, it can get difficult to focus on what's immediately in front of you. Put on those trusty, Ben Franklin approved, specs, and things clear up. Our core values work much the same way. As we age, grow, and even tire as a church, our core values are there to remind us of our purpose. They remind us of the church we set out to be, and, if necessary, help us get back on course.
Our "What We Believe" statement is very similar to our core values, but here we get specific. Here we lay out our views on topics like God, Jesus, the Bible, salvation, the Christian life, and where we, as humans, fit into all of that.
So, take some time, and browse around. We've got some staff and elders that are pretty cool. Get to know us, and when you're done, if you're still interested, we'd love the chance to get to know you. If there's something you don't quite understand, or something you'd like a little more clarification on, please don't hesitate to ask.
