At Genesis, we want your kids to get something real out of their youth group. A youth ministry should not simply be a series of fun and silly events, and the pastor of a youth group should not simply be an activities director. We want your kids to have a real experience with their almighty and loving God during their tenure with the youth group. However, this is not simply up to the youth pastor to make it happen. At Genesis, we believe that Parents are primarily responsible for the spiritual growth of their children, with the assistance of the church. We want your students to have a deep experience with their God during their time with the Genesis youth group, and would like to partner with you to make that happen. The Genesis youth group strives to bring students to God by keeping four main goals. Every event, meeting, trip, or camp should meet at least one of these five goals.
5 Goals of a successful youth group
Genesis Youth Community Group
A time for the youth to gather. During our weekly group time we will have time to fellowship, a time of games and activities, a bible study lesson, and a time of prayer. There is always a snack or two (because who doesn’t want a snack)!
Wednesdays @ 7:00pm (hang out time starting at 6:30pm)
Genesis Church Office @ 102 Wengler Rd. Pacific, MO (map)
Genesis Youth Group Events
A time for the youth to gather for a fun event together. During our monthly event we will gather to play games, watch a movie, have food, hold activities, have a group outing or attend a camp or conference.
Events are held at different times throughout the year. Typically, we will try and host one event each month.
The location will be determined based on the event. Location for each event will be included in the event details on the church calendar.
Genesis Youth Service/Mission Projects
A time for the youth to gather to serve both our church and our community. During these service projects the youth will gather to serve others through prayer and mission. These may include helping someone who is in need with yardwork, collecting for a food pantry, a free community car wash, or just sharing the love through random acts of kindness.
Service Projects are held at different times throughout the year. Typically, we will try and host one event each quarter.
The location will be determined based on the project.
Sundays @ 10:00am
