Family

My wife Amanda and I were married in 2004, and have 6 kids, ranging from adult to elementary school aged. I currently work for a cleaning chemical production company while Amanda is an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Education

Bachelor of Religious Studies from Liberty University
Master of Theological Studies with a Church Planting Emphasis from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
Currently completing a Master of Education from Liberty University

What Genesis means to you

It only took one visit back in 2014 to decide that Genesis Church was where we belonged. Even after our adventure on staff at another church, Genesis was still home base, and where we returned when that adventure ended. Genesis is where we belong, always, even if the Lord takes us elsewhere for a season.

What you Enjoy

Our family are first and foremost travelers. We love to go new places, primarily driving ourselves, especially National Parks and State Parks. Our goal is to visit all of the National Parks during our lifetime. Otherwise, I’m an avid video gamer. I also collect and sell rocks, crystals, and minerals from all over. I help manage and run an old copper mine (Copper Valley Mine) near Ste. Genevieve during the spring and summer months, as well as maintain a storefront at PB&J’s Antique Store in St. Clair where I sell my rockhounding finds.

Where you grew up and what you did as a kid

Super long story short, grew up in Oklahoma in a small town no one has ever heard of.  I lived on a farm/ranch in the country, spending most of my time at home, running the fields, climbing trees, driving my 4-Wheeler, and enjoying the rolling hills of South Central Oklahoma. Total 90’s kid, half lived at Shawnee Mall, the other playing Super Nintendo, renting games and movies from the local rental store, and being a kid.

Hope For Genesis

I hope Genesis will be a place where young Christians and Christian leaders can test themselves, be tested and find God’s best for them as they lead the church forward into the future. I pray we are a church with joyful theology, passionate worship, and hopeful and purposeful mission.
