Responsibilities

As the Director of Genesis Kids, we partner with parents to disciple and teach their children in spiritual development and growth from birth to 5th grade. We help lay the foundation in discipleship.

Family

I come from a large family with 8 brothers & sisters (which I love!). I met my husband, Rob, in 2006 at Royal Gate Dodge while working in their call center. We got married in June of 2007. After almost 10 years, God blessed us with 3 children (Evelyn in 2016, Henley in 2018 & Oliver in 2019).

What Genesis means to you

Rob and I attended the church I grew up in together once we were married. After many wonderful years there, we felt God calling us to join with Genesis Church. We started going to Genesis with Rob’s sister & brother-in-law. After going thru the Gospel class, we knew this is where God wanted us to plant our family. We immediately got involved in different areas of ministry and have been blessed beyond measure from this church and the people there.

Mary Poppins or White Christmas. But really, I LOVE ALL classic movies and TV shows, Call the Midwife, Downtown Abby and mystery shows. Also, Rob and I like to watch Marvel shows, Ted Lasso, White Collar, BBC shows, and so many more!

What you Enjoy

I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with both sides of our families. We often travel to Branson to visit my In-laws and see the sights around there. I love board games, finding new things to cook, audiobooks, taking our children on new adventures and spending time outside in God’s creation.

Where you grew up and what you did as a kid

I grew up in Missouri, in the country on 20 acres. I was homeschooled until 9th grade, then attended a small Christian school in St Clair Mo. We were always outside, horseback riding, playing in the woods, or working alongside my parents whether in the fields or on a different project. I truly love the outdoors!

Hope for Genesis

I pray that Genesis will continue to be a light for our community, striving to make disciples. I hope it will inspire others to live on mission in their communities, walking along side those who do not know Christ, living on mission.
