Addiction

The opioid epidemic has brought the issue of drug use and addiction back to the forefront of our culture's conversation. Of course, addiction to drugs and alcohol is devastating and can leave wasted lives in its wake. Still, these are not the only things that cause addiction, as people can be addicted to food, porn, and a myriad of other things that control. The final question we will answer in our Top 10 Series is, what does the Bible say about addiction? We have a special treat as a church today, as Michael Byrd will be our guest preacher today. Michael is the Pastor of Faith Community Bible Church in North St. Louis and also serves as the Urban Strategist for the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association. He is married to Traci and has four children. We welcome Michael and look forward to what the Lord will say about this tough and timely subject today.
