Be Ready

Eschatology, aka the study of the end times has been an interesting topic in church life since the beginning. We want to know what's coming and how things are going to end. And, to be honest, the Bible has a lot to say about the return of Christ, coming judgment, the end of the world as we know it (do you feel fine?). To make matters a little bit more difficult, there are a variety of approaches to the prophecies about the end. But, no matter how you approach these ideas, there is a core of teachings that are held by all Christians, and there is a key central message surrounding the study of eschatology. That message is that Christ will return, so we must be ready! In chapter 3 of 2 Peter we are reminded that we must live this day for that day. And, that will be the theme of our messages for the next two months.
