Believe

The author of the Gospel of John must have gotten an A in his college writing class. He definitely mastered the art of writing clear thesis statements, as each of his five New Testament books demonstrate. John's thesis statement for his Gospel account is this, "these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." This morning we will give an introduction to John as a person, and get an understanding of the purpose for this great work. And hopefully we will start understanding what it means to truly believe in Jesus and experience life in His name.
