Betrayal

I have had so many times where my faith seemed to be strong, and I boldly declared how I was going to stand strong in faith, no turning back. The truth is that there are many times that failures in faith happened almost as quick as I could say the words of commitment. What I have learned over the years is that my faith is not based on me and my ability to keep my promises. Rather, the entire story of the Bible reminds us that God is faithful, even when we are not. Our story today is a hard one as we will look at two people who failed in their faith. One found redemption; the other did not. This might help us figure out how we can respond in our spiritual failures and struggles.
