Boasting

How often do we do this, we chart a course, form our plans and put together a direction to follow, and then after we have done everything we quickly pray and ask God to bless the plans we set in place. As humans our tendency is to focus on our plans and forget how fragile life can be and how quickly our plans can be thwarted. Our passage today is a reminder that we are dependent and fragile beings and our lives will make more sense when we embrace our frailty and God's greatness. This will drive us to prayer.
