Children

It is every Christian parent's favorite Bible verse, one they begin teaching their children as soon as they can speak. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord." We do this because from birth there is something hard wired into our children that leads them to rebel against authority and reject parent's instruction. It starts when kids are mature enough to walk, the cookie is on the counter, says "no", and the child begins devising a way to get around mom’s instruction to get that cookie. But, as God inspired Paul to include these words in Ephesians, He is accomplishing so much more in our lives than behavior management. In reality, as kids obey and honor their parents God is teaching them how they will relate to Him and know Jesus.
