Children and LGBT Issues

No question that we face as believers in our culture is more challenging than that of the LGBTQ issues and gay marriage. This question confronts our kids in ways that most of us cannot even imagine, primarily because it is way more than an argument for them; most of them know people, and even have close friends, who have identified in some way with this movement. Furthermore, they are growing up in a culture that finds anything other than complete endorsement of LGBTQ issues morally reprehensible. On the other hand, often those in the church have either abandoned truth to give grace or completely lacked any sense of grace to promote truth. Our Top 10 List sermon today is a tough one, but hopefully helpful for parents, "How do we help our children understand what the Bible teaches about LGBTQ issues? To do this well, we will need parents prepared to equip themselves in the Scriptures, who are willing to have "the talk" with their kids over and over, and apply the Bible's teaching on our sexuality like Jesus, full of grace and truth.
