Communication

The Smoky Mountains are a great destination for a Family Vacation. You can hike trails, visit water falls, and spend time around a good camp fire. So many places to have great conversations with the family! Frequently, families have an incredibly difficult time communicating. If we talk at all, the conversation is about trivial things. If the family is going to be a place where we are known, loved, and accepted, it has to be in an atmosphere where every person knows they are heard but, are also hearing. Way too often, the communication in our families stays at the surface, or goes to the other extreme, with conflict and yelling. To have healthy communication in our marriages and families, we need to create more times that resemble those campfire talks in the mountains.
