Depression

The recent suicidal death of the son of popular pastor and author Rick Warren has brought a lot of attention to the issue of depression among Christians. Way too often the struggle with depression is viewed negatively, as some kind of defect in a person's faith. But the truth is that we live in a fallen world and depression is a common struggle held by many people, even those with a deep faith. This morning our question in the Top 10 Series is How should we respond when Christians deal with depression, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts and actions? We will find that this is a struggle shared with many of the great people in the Bible.
