Evil

The existence of evil and suffering in the world is one of the most significant objections to belief in the God of the Bible. Some of the common questions are: - What is wrong with the world and how do we fix it? - If God is good, then why are people and things so bad? - If God is love, why does evil exist? The worldview of the Bible actually gives the clearest and most rational explanation to the existence of evil. Simply put, "The world was made through Him, but the world did not know Him." Evil is actually not a thing, rather it is the absence of something, specifically the absence of God in His glory. We were made by God to experience God, yet, we do not know Him. Sin severed the relationship, and everything from there is broken and cannot be fixed. Our hope then, does not lie in political solutions or human reform, it comes in the birth of a baby who is God, and His coming rebuilds access to know our God. Better yet, those who know Jesus find that they are made family, becoming children of God.
