Finished!

We are going to jump forward in the Gospel of John to the story of the cross and the resurrection for Palm Sunday and Easter. This is holy week, the remembrance of the week Jesus gave His life for us. This sermon will look at the very last moments of Jesus' life and his last declaration before his death, as He cried out "It is Finished." This cry is so much more than a declaration that Jesus' life is over. It is a cry of victory, the reality that Christ had finished His mission and accomplished all that is necessary for our redemption. The implication of this cry is the very core of the Gospel and offers hope for every one of us.
