Gardening for Dummies: Chapter 2 - Bible

Aug 19, 2007 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Gardening for Dummies

A Children's nursery rhyme asks, "How does your garden grow?" The rhyme speaks of things like silver bells, cockle shells, and maids, which might be great in fairy tale land, but in the real world, a great garden takes a significant amount of work. Whenever you pass by a beautiful flower garden, or a fantastic vegetable garden, you know that the owner of the garden, you know that the owner of the garden had spent a significant amount of time working the ground, planting seeds, cultivating plants, and watering the garden. No quick fixes for a great garden. The same is true for growth in the life of a Christ-follower. In this new series, Gardening for Dummies, mike will be using the analogy of a garden to explain some of the disciplines necessary for growth in the Christian life.
