Grace Alone

Oct 8, 2017 • Rob Rash • Series: Here I Stand

Grace. It's word that the Christian has become all too familiar with, but also has an other-worldly meaning. One of the core teachings and differences evangelical churches have, and what separates us from other religions, comes down to this word. Naturally, as human beings, we have the tendency to work. We work for wages, we work for relationships and we work for acceptance. Unfortunately, this has rolled over into our view of salvation. Are we really saved by grace? Is it really God's work and not ours? What role do we play, if any? Bottom line, we are saved by the work of Christ. There is nothing we can add to our salvation. It's only in response to this new life that we live out a life in faith and obedience. Grace and grace alone.
