Harvest: Planting

Take a drive in farm country at this time of year, and you will see big "tractors" called combines running through fields harvesting the crops. The bounty of the harvest is a culmination of lots of planning and hard work. A farmer who does not think about his goals for the harvest in the early Spring will probably end up with poor crops or no crop at all in the late Fall. In the final two chapters of Ecclesiastes, Solomon is challenging people to do two things. First, think of the harvest. Second, get going with the planting of the right seeds in your life now!
