Heaven

The popularity of the recent movie Heaven is For Real and the preceding book by the same name demonstrates that people have interest in the after-life and are looking for any evidence that will give them hope. This is just one of a myriad of books that tell stories of near-death experiences and narratives of short journeys into what they call heaven. In our sermon today from the series on eschatology (study of last things), we hope to come to the same conclusion, that heaven is for real, but we will look to another source, the only Person who can truly say He both came from heaven and also returned there. And, we may find that the Biblical picture of this place is significantly different than the pop-culture version.
