Hell: Isn’t The God Of Christianity An Angry Judge?

Oct 18, 2009 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Doubting Your Doubts

Peter Kreeft, theologian from Boston College, said "Of all the doctrines of Christianity, hell is the most difficult to defend, the most burdensome to bear, and the first to be abandoned." The Christian belief in hell is a barrier for many people. The reasoning usually goes something like, "How could a loving God send people to a place of suffering for all of eternity?" Truth be told, discarding this belief would make following Jesus much easier. The problem is that nobody had more to say on the subject than Jesus himself.
