Honesty

"Honesty is such a lonely word, everyone is so untrue." A Billy Joel sang, dishonesty is the norm for our culture, almost expected in every area. We don't expect honesty from sales people, and we almost expect politicians to stretch the truth. Yet, it is so easy to get deeply angered when someone is dishonest with us. On the other hand, if we are honest with ourselves, dishonest is a big part of our lives too. And, beneath our dishonestly lies something much more important, because our dishonest moments actually reveal our idols. Proverbs reminds us that our integrity matters because our name represents the one who we serve.
