How Long Shall It Be?

Jun 2, 2019 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Exiled

We reach the end this morning… of both the book of Daniel and of history. Daniel is allowed to see glimpses of the end of history and the last day. God will deliver His people and His faithfulness will be finally revealed. The resurrection of the dead is the goal of the story, as all will rise--- some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel is then ordered to close the book, but he has questions, which are only answered in a cryptic way. Daniel will not make it to this day; he will rest with his fathers. So, there are two ways the final day comes. One is through faithful service until death and then resurrection. Others will make it to the very end, but it will be tough. Both will find that they have an allotted place at "the end of the days," A.K.A., the Day of the Lord. This morning we will look at what Christians believe about the last day, and we will find that the last day is not really the last day!
