I Will Build My Church

We are entering an exciting season as a church, as we will work together to build a building for our gatherings and activities. But we need to remember that we are not building the church; that is never our job. The church is not a building, an event, or even a leadership structure. Rather, the church is a community of redeemed people who are on mission together. So, we begin this series on our building journey by reminding ourselves that the church is God's idea and it is Jesus who builds His church. No building can replace the true architect of the church or the reason we exist. Yet, a building can be a tool to be used for the advancement of the Mission of God and the spread of the Gospel in our city. Today we will both hear about the mission of Jesus' church and pray for that mission together.
