In God’s Hands

Did you know that Jesus celebrated Hanukkah? The Light of the World was in Jerusalem for the Festival of Lights. But, lines had been drawn. This festival was a reminder to the Jews of a military victory over a horrible oppressive enemy in their history, and reminded them of the hope for a Messiah. So, they flat out asked Jesus if He was the guy. Of course, all through this book Jesus has made His identity clear, but for those who had not believed, this just made them angry. We are reminded that the mission of the Messiah is to save us. For those who are truly saved, God holds us and will never let us go.
