Sit down with an investment strategist and he will encourage you to set goals and begin to form a plan to have your money work for you. Often these goals involve golf, fishing, or backgammon on some beach after you reach 65 (or earlier). The Bible is actually a book that gives us similar advice. It tells us that we need to invest and prepare for a time that is coming. But it also encourages us that planning for a few short years of retirement is a goal that will fall far short of God's best. We are encouraged to invest our time, talents, and treasures into a completely different Kingdom, one that will last well beyond this life. As we conclude our series, What’s in Your Wallet?, we will be challenged to invest in the right way.
