Is My Hopeless Situation Really God’s Will?

Feb 3, 2019 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Exiled

The sixth century BC was not a good time for the people of Israel. Babylon conquered the Hebrew people and dragged many into exile. Among the first to be captured was a young man named Daniel, but God had His hand on Daniel and his friends. They were citizens of God's Kingdom, but placed in a high position in Babylon. They were exiles in a foreign land, and it seemed that God was strangely absent from their story. But the big point of Daniel is that God rules the kingdoms of this world as well as all the days of our lives, and is sovereignly ordering our lives and situation. This means God has you right where He intended. His will is for you to live with allegiance to God's Kingdom while living in this world. No matter where you are in life, you can be sure that the purpose of God is to do a great work in you and work through you to make Himself known wherever you go.
