I’ve Fallen and I Can’t Get Up

Feb 10, 2013 • Mike Hubbard • Series: One Story. One Hero. One Mission.

The world around us is not as it should be. Yes, we see the beauty of the creation, and the wonder of the image of God within us as people. The faint echo of Eden is displayed everywhere reminding us of how things are very wrong. As Mark Driscoll put it, "No matter how much money we spend, elections we hold, organizations we start, blogs we write, complaints we air, tears we cry, or wars we wage, boredom, annoyances, miseries, fears, tragedies, suffering, injustice, evil, sickness, pain, and death continue unabated." Why is this true? Our sermon this morning will look at a choice by the first two people and show how a bite from a piece of fruit really does give the clearest and most profound explanation to the brokenness of our lives and the world around.
