Joy in Standing Firm

Paul's passionate plea for losing all for Christ and His righteousness is rightfully followed by the call to maturity, or as Paul says it, to "Make it my own." We all need the reminder that the Christian walk is one we, by God's power, must travel. Doing so means finding worthy models to imitate, as well as a personal desire to be more like Christ. We need to hear the call again to joyfully embrace our new heavenly citizenship, and stand firm in joyous anticipation of Him making us perfect, like He is.
