Lazarus, Come Out!

What a moment! Lazarus had been dead four days, and nobody expected him not to be dead on day five. While his followers and friends knew that Jesus could do miracles, heal people, and even disrupt funerals, this time Jesus completely missed the funeral and there was no way his tardy arrival could mean anything other than shared grief. But Jesus saved the best miracle for last, calling Lazarus's name at the tomb, and next thing you know, we have the walking dead. In this miracle Jesus confirmed everything He had been saying about Himself, but the outcome is a final resolve from those who do not believe; Jesus has to go. And, the story is a reminder for us that when we are confronted with the true identity of Jesus it will eventually force us to deal with Him.
