As Paul nears the end of his third major missionary trip, it is time to head home. Instead of heading straight to Antioch, he plans to go to Jerusalem first. The story helps us see that Paul never travels alone. He has a crew of people who are serving with him, representing the churches he has visited, and doing the work of ministry together. During his travels, Paul has been collecting what has become a significant sum of money, given by individuals in the churches to support their suffering brothers and sisters in Jerusalem. The names mentioned are traveling with Paul to protect, provide accountability, and deliver these funds to Jerusalem. It is clear that there is no Lone Ranger mentality with Paul. In every situation there is a team of people doing ministry and mission together. This includes when Paul preaches on and on... and a teenager falls asleep and out of a window during the preaching.
