Mission

Sep 2, 2018 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Focus

If an organization is going to make a difference in the world, it must begin with a clear and compelling mission. As a church, we know our mission is to love our city, make disciples, and plant churches. Our Focus series has been about God's plan for us as a church, and how the message of the Gospel creates a community of people who are on mission together. Today we will talk about the mission of the church and the mission of our church. The Gospel forms a people on a mission. Or, as we have said here several times, the Gospel always has an engine that sends Christ's people into the world on His mission. For Genesis, Community Groups are so much more than a place to hang out, read a few verses together, and then eat cookies. We see ourselves as a people who are rescued by the Gospel so that we make the Gospel visible to our city and the world. Our encouragement for you to be in a group is an invitation to join a mission started by Christ and full of hope and joy.
