Parable of the Wedding Feast

There are not many events that happen in our world that rival a royal wedding. While we don't quite get this level of pomp and circumstance in our country, we definitely see it happen when the British Royals have a wedding. What an event. Well, imagine you opened the mail one day and found an invitation to attend a royal wedding and the several days of celebration surrounding it. The king wants to honor his son and celebrate this huge occasion, and somehow you were included in the joy of the event. Would you rearrange your schedule and make sure you could attend. One of the last parables Jesus tells is the story of a king who was throwing a wedding party for his son. The bizarre thing is that those who were supposed to attend did not show up. And this says something tragic about those people.
