Plesion

This is launch week for all of our Community Groups. These small groups meeting in homes provide a setting for us to grow as followers of Jesus. They develop groups of people to do faith and life together and to love in the Gospel. Throughout the Bible, love of God is always accompanied with love of neighbor. To love an invisible God is not possible if I am not learning to love the tangible brothers and sisters around me in the community of faith. Love should be a visible characteristic of people growing as disciples. Furthermore, Jesus told an amazing story to teach that our neighbor is anyone who has a need we can meet. The vision we have at Genesis is to lead people to move outside of their comfort zones into community, where the implications of Jesus' command is happening in their lives. Together we 'll learn to love the marginalized, different, broken, and hurting in our world.
