Prayer

We come to the end of James, this great little letter from Jesus' little brother. He has challenged us with so many things, including favoritism, poverty and wealth, our tongue, pride, and our trials. The theme throughout has been the authenticity of our faith. Now, he ends with a reminder that this faith journey is never to be done alone. At the top of the list is that we must depend on God, and prayer leads us to His very presence. And we need a community of faith to support us when we struggle and rejoice when we succeed.
