Precious Promises

This morning we will begin a new series on the New Testament letter of 2 Peter, written by the Apostle Peter, one of Jesus' closest friends and followers. We recently studied 1 Peter which examined external pressure experienced by the church in the form of persecution and suffering. Peter's second letter looks at internal pressure within the Christian community caused by false teachers. Peter wanted the early followers of Jesus to grow in their faith and not get sidetracked. This letter covers some interesting topics including assurance of faith, protection against false teachers, and the end times.
