Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over

We have sticky fingers. It is often difficult for us to give away our money and our things. Yet, when it comes to our finances and possessions, throughout the Scriptures we find that the key markers revealing authentic faith are contentment and generosity. We can't outgive God, but for those who have been blessed by the grace of God, the call is to be a blessing through their giving. The regular, sacrificial, and missional giving of God's people is used by God to advance His Kingdom and care for the broken. It is also a key that unlocks the blessings of God's riches in the lives of His people. Being content with what we have, no matter what those things are, reveals our trust and creates a path for being thankful. Today we will look at why we should give, some principles about the ways we should give, and some keys to a life of contentment in Christ.
