Prosperity Gospel

The Prosperity Gospel, The Word of Faith Movement, and Health and Wealth theology are all names describing a belief system that supports the idea that God's intention for every good believer is to be blessed financially, physically, and relationally. Many preachers from this movement can be seen on TV with large crowds hanging on their every word. They often speak words of encouragement that lead others to adopt a more positive outlook on life and themselves. While many of their principles are beneficial, the questions should be asked, "What do they say about the Gospel? Do they teach that Jesus has come to redeem and restore His fallen creation, bringing humanity into relationship with God the Father?"
