Racial Reconciliation

Jul 22, 2018 • Darren Casper • Series: Top Ten 2018

If you grew up in church, you probably sang a song that said, "Red, and yellow, black, and white; they are precious in His sight." While we may have sung the song, often the attitudes and behaviors toward people of other ethnicities has not reflected the values of Christ and His Kingdom. Our question for the Top 10 Series this morning is about race and the Gospel, "Living in a predominately white area, how can I be deliberate about promoting racial reconciliation?" Our guest speaker this morning is Darren Casper. Darren is the Director of PlantMidwest, one of our Church Planting Networks as a part of the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association. He is leading Genesis and 150 other churches in the St. Louis area in church planting efforts, especially in the urban core of St. Louis and among ethnic groups in our area. He has also been instrumental in launching The Fellowship of Faithful Men, which is a training and fellowship group for African-American pastors and leaders in our region.
