Red Letters: The Gospel and Judgment

Aug 23, 2009 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Red Letters

Well, we come to the completion of our journey through what is possibly the greatest sermon ever given. And the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount end with a considerable warning to people who hang out in church doing religious stuff each week. Jesus wants to remind us that while we live in this day, in a very real way, we need to live for that day, the day of final judgment. The sad thing is that on that day, there will be people who lived their life thinking they were good to go with God, only to find out that they didn't really know Him. This morning Jesus is going to help us make sure we are not among those people.
