Red Letters: “X” Marks The Spot - Seeking First, Part 1

Humans are seekers by nature. Something inside drives us to seek meaning and value in life, and to strive to fix what is broken in our lives. The issue is not that we seek, but what we seek. Jesus told His disciples to "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness." In this, he is calling those who follow to a life's pursuit. Like pirates who are on an adventure trying to find buried treasure under the "X" on the treasure map, Jesus called those who follow him to give up everything for the one thing that matters.
