Scrooged: Bah Humbug

Nov 30, 2008 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Scrooged

"Marley was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that." So begins the classic holiday story, A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. The main character, Ebenezer Scrooge, despises Christmas. He is a greedy, angry man, but he likes who he is, and does not want anyone, or anything, pushing back on his values and actions. At Christmas, it seems that everyone wants something from him. Today we begin a new series of messages that will take us through the Christmas season titled, "Scrooged". We will use themes from Dickens' story and the life of Scrooge to help us see the areas of our lives that need the Gospel and the coming of Jesus.
