Scrooged:The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come

Dec 21, 2008 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Scrooged

For Scrooge, redemption involved dealing with his past, seeing the reality of Christmas present, and looking into the the possibility of Christmas future. If he continued the trajectory of his life, the future did not look promising. Scrooge is confronted with the question of whether the course of his life is set, or if there is the possibility to have victory in his life. One facet of the good news of Jesus is that he is our victory. Jesus fought for us, and has been victorious over the darkness of life. We don't have to look at the end of our life with dread, rather, we can be sure that we are "more than conquerors" because of Jesus.
