Seek First

All kinds of people acknowledge the importance of God in their lives. Celebrities thank God when they win an award. Football players point to the sky when they score a touchdown. Many people will even acknowledge the need to put God first in their lives. This is a good thing, but what exactly does this mean, to seek God first? To be right with God is our central need in life and the key issue we need to have addressed in our priorities. The Gospel of Jesus is the pathway for that, and walking with God is the key to experiencing the joy and peace we hope for in life. Jesus tells us that we must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The other pieces will never fall in to place if we are not first and foremost walking with Jesus. Today we will talk about shaping our lives around the Gospel and enjoying the wonder of a God who wants to have a relationship.
