Shaped for Ministry - The Purpose of Ministry

Not every Christian is a pastor, but every Christian is a minister. You were called to serve God and that is called your ministry. The truth is every Christian needs a ministry in the church and a mission in the world. There's a difference. Your ministry is to believers and your mission is to unbelievers. Your ministry is to the body of Christ, the family of God. Your mission is to the world. This week we're going to talk about ministry and next week we're going to talk about your life mission in the world. Every believer needs a ministry, an area where they are serving God through His church. And God has given you a S.H.A.P.E. for that ministry. This morning in our sermon, and this week in our reading from the Purpose Driven Life you the God-given S.H.A.P.E. you have and begin thinking about God's call to ministry for your life.
