Signs and Wonders

Have you ever read the stories of miracles in the Bible and wondered why these sorts of things don't seem to show up in our day? Luke tells us stories of two miraculous healings at the hands of the Apostle Peter. These signs accompany Peter's preaching of Jesus leading to the advance of the Gospel. They are two in a myriad of stories of miracles found throughout the Bible. We can come to these stories with skepticism and also wonder why we don't see these kinds of healings all the time. This sermon is going to interact with the question of miracles, why they happen, and what God accomplishes through miracles. We will find that God is the God of the miraculous and the greatest miracle among us happens every time someone believes in Jesus.
