Sola Scriptura: What’s The Bible All About?

Is the Bible just a book of rules and guidelines for living? Is it a form of an instruction manual for living? The Bible does contain these sorts of things, but as a whole, the Bible is so much more than an instruction manual or a law book. At the heart, the Bible is a huge story, with a key central character. During most weeks here at Genesis, our pastor will spend well over a half an hour speaking on a few verses in the Bible. This morning he is going to try to do a sermon explaining the whole thing, all 66 books, with the goal of telling the big story contained in the Bible. Like many books, the only way to understand the smaller issues is to fit them in the larger story and purpose of the Bible.
