The Baby Is God

To find the story of Christmas, we usually run to Matthew 1 or Luke 2. These Gospels tell us the story of the virgin mom, the manger in Bethlehem, angels, shepherds, and wise men. But John's Gospel begins at a very different place when telling his story of the life of Jesus. John begins with "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." He is letting us know that the baby in the manger has always existed as God. Our new Christmas series will look into the true identity of the baby in the manger, seeing his divinity, his humanity, his mission, and call, and discovering that "The Word became flesh and dwelt with us."
