The First Day

Apr 1, 2018 • Mike Hubbard • Series: Believe

The story is simple. A man who was executed on Friday and laid in the tomb was not there on Sunday morning. Multiple people went looking for Him, but Jesus could not be found in the tomb. Nobody was expecting to find an empty tomb or later in the day to encounter a risen Christ. In fact, as you read the accounts, you realize that nobody was expecting to find no body. But, the First Day of the week is a day that revolutionized the world. This changes everything! By telling this story to people in the First Century world, John is reminding them that they can live as people who live in light of the First Day. And, he invites us into an empty tomb, a garden, and a locked room where we, too, can meet a risen Man. When this story becomes your story, it will start a revolution.
