The Gift of Love

God loves us, this is the message of the Bible. We often feel abandoned and lonely. Worse, we know how undeserving we are of God's affection. But, despite this, the central message of the Bible is that God loved the world so much that He sent His Son. We can know that God's love is settled, it is real. The love of God transforms us. God does not love us because we are loveable. He does not love us because we are beautiful. He does not love us because we are worthy. No, God just loves us, and that love makes us loveable, makes us beautiful, makes us worthy.
